Simplifying Christmas

Over the weekend I read this article about simplifying Christmas and I'm totally in. Then, going through pictures today I came across yet another invention Charlie made out of the recycling. It's honestly one of his favorite things to do. This particular one started off as a home for his Teddy Bear. Then, it conveniently changed into a boat. I had to draw the line at putting it in the tub to see if it was seaworthy. I'm such a party pooper sometimes.

So, in an effort to keep things more simple, I'm really going to focus on finding just a few presents that the boys would really enjoy. After all, they usually have more fun with the cardboard boxes than the items actually in them. I also want to focus more on experiences or adventures with them. We're going to give an advent calendar a go this year (just like she describes on LobotoME).

I love that idea on LobotoMe-- need, wear, read, etc. So smart.
